Title
A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to authorize negotiations, with RJ Heisenbottle, Martinez Alvarez, Bender & Associates and Gurri Matute, for continuing contracts for Preservation Architectural Consulting Services, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act”, Section 2-1092 of the City of Coral Gables Code of Ordinances, and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2016.06.LS.

Body
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to establish a pool of qualified firms that will provide Preservation Architectural Consulting Services, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055 “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA). The professional services provided under this RFQ will be for projects in which the estimated construction cost of each project does not exceed $2,000,000, and the study activities for professional services for each study is not to exceed $200,000. The preservation architectural services to be provided include, but are not limited to: Architectural and Engineering design services, Historic Preservation, Project Management, Contract Sourcing, Cost Analysis and Schedule Planning, Design Services for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), Construction Contract Administration, Site Analysis and Consultation, Landscaping Architecture, Site Planning , Sustainable Design, Code Analysis, Public Art, Project Reviews and Move and Occupancy Planning.
On June 24, 2016, the Procurement Division formally advertised the Preservation Architectural Consulting Services Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2016.06.LS. On July 01, 2016, a non-mandatory pre-qualifications conference was held with ten (10) prospective firms in attendance, out of the twenty-four (24) firms and subcontractors who obtained the RFQ document from the Procurement Division.
