“Jorge undertook the task of closing out expired permits in two permitting systems. To date, he has helped close-out over 6,000 old permits, an essential process in our transition to the new electronic permitting system. He also worked attending to the public throughout the entire Covid pandemic while the majority of the City was shutdown, establishing a temporary counter in City Hall's courtyard for the safety of our visitors. The City of Coral Gables is one of the only Cities that maintained its doors open for permitting throughout the entire pandemic, largely thanks to Jorge. He is a team player and assists his coworkers whenever possible. He is an asset to the Development Services Department and The City of Coral Gables.”
