Lieutenant David Garcia has been selected September’s Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for his hard work and dedication to the department. Lieutenant David Garcia’s unfortunate injury has resulted in what has proved to be a blessing to our fire administration. With the many moving parts involved in the daily operations at fire administration, it is always nice to have an extra set of hands to assist.
There is an incredible talent pool within the ranks of our fire department. When the call goes out, our personnel continually step up when needed and Lieutenant. David Garcia is no exception, he is extremely resourceful and helpful. Since his assignment to fire administration Lieutenant Garcia has assisted in the annual fire training initiative conducted at the CGFD Training Facility, designed and managed the build of the bell stand and flag deployment device used in the 9-11 Ceremony, has helped in the streamlining of our fire equipment inventory on our spare units, assisted with the new recruit class and the list goes on and on.
Due to his outstanding work ethic and dedication to the Fire Department Lieutenant David Garcia is nominated for Firefighter of the month for September 2021.
