Title

A Resolution of the City Commission accepting the recommendation of the Information Technology Director to approve a Change Order to increase the spending authority on the Micro Security Contract # IFB 2020-032 - Security System Services to an estimated total of $119,000, pursuant to Section 2-764 (b) of the City’s Procurement Code entitled “Change Orders and Contract Modifications”.

 

 

Body

                      WHEREAS, on December 11th, 2020 the City officially access contract IFB 2020-032 - Security System Services; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the contract is primarily utilized for the purchase of physical security services and equipment; and

 

 WHEREAS, there is a need to increase the spending authority for the contract through the existing term which expires on December 2023; and

    

                     WHEREAS, Section 2-585 of the Procurement Code, entitled “Authority” authorizes the City Manager to delegate authority to the Procurement Officer to administer and make recommendations on contract awards.

 

 

              NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CORAL GABLES:

 

Section 1.  The foregoing “Whereas” clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof.

 

section 2. That the City Commission accepts the recommendation and authorizes the City Manager to increase the Micro Security contract IFB 2020-032 - Security System Services in an estimated amount of $119,000 not to exceed the available budget, to acquire physical security services and equipment for CIP projects and maintenance of current facilities pursuant to Section 2-764(b), Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications of the procurement code.

 

Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its adoption herein.
