Title

A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing the acceptance and execution of grant funds in the amount of $5,439 allocated to the Coral Gables Police Department from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program; and authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget to recognize the $5,439 grant funds as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.

Body

The State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has awarded the Coral Gables Police Department an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG-C) in the amount of $5,439 to purchase equipment that will enhance marine officer safety.  The Police Department received notification that the grant application under subgrant 2021-JAGC-DADE-17-5R-116 was successfully reviewed and approved by FDLE on February 1, 2021.

 

An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $5,439 grant funds as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the grant expenditures.
