A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing the City Manager to enter into an amended and restated Memorandum of Understanding, in substantially the attached form, with Strata Ai, Inc to create a partnership that describes both parties active investment and focus in the area of artificial intelligence, especially through education where Strata Ai provide courses.

Memorandum of Understanding between City of Coral Gables and Strata.AI, a member organization of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council Technology team and 1MPACT economic recovery taskforce lead, for a technology education partnership in the emerging fields of data science and artificial intelligence (AI).
The MOU language was reviewed by city staff for legal sufficiency, technology specifications, and communications strategy.
There is no financial cost to the City. The City will receive a free 6-month scholarship on advanced technology courses (AI and data science) for one IT employee. In return, the City’s IT director will provide a guest lecture to the students and will speak at one of the technology education events, and the City will issue a joint press release with Strata.AI announcing this education partnership.
