“Alejandro “Alex” Gamundi has been working for the City’s Information and Technology Department for over fifteen (15) years. He started his stellar career with the City as a Part-Time IT Technician and has moved up the ranks to Senior IT Analyst.
Over the years, Alex has proven time and time again to be an employee who is a team player, dependable, highly motivated, reliable, versatile, and a professional possessing a wealth of experience and education in the information technology field. He has earned numerous certifications in IT Service Management which allows him to align his day-to-day tasks and his business processes in the IT Department. His customer and technical skills are greatly appreciated by our department users and City citizens alike. Alex performs his daily IT field operation duties and service desk functions with pride, making time in his busy daily schedule to test new hardware for compliance and compatibility with existing IT infrastructure, in addition to creating benchmarks for implementing new products and services in the enterprise system.
Additionally, Alex works with our Community Service Department conducting and maintaining outreach community classes for our seniors to explore the world of the Internet and office automation tools, and has helped in the implementation of an asset management system which allows the IT Department to inventory, track, and maintain computer hardware throughout the City.
I believe the true character of an individual is characteristic of the way he/she responds to problematic situations in un-chartered waters and under adverse conditions.”
