Title
A Resolution accepting the recommendation to authorize the purchase of microwave equipment for continued connectivity within the P25 Radio System for the Police Department from Communications International as a “Sole Source Procurement,” pursuant to Section 2-689 of the City’s Procurement Code.
Body
The City of Coral Gables is currently constructing a new Police and Fire Headquarters building that is scheduled to open in September 2020 and will house the following departments: Fire, Police, Information Technology, and Coral Gables TV.

As a result, the Police Department has selected Communications International, the authorized MNI provider and seller of this proprietary equipment, to serve as the sole provider for the purchase of microwave equipment for continued connectivity within the P25 Radio System to the new Police and Fire Headquarters building in the amount of $183,208.
Under Section 2-689 of the Procurement Code, entitled “Sole Source Procurement,” an award may be made without competitive bids when there is only one source availabl...
