A Resolution authorizing an increase to Purchase Order No. 018293 for the Cocoplum 1 Sanitary Pump Station & Force Main Upgrade project, awarded to David Mancini & Sons, Inc. at the January 28, 2020 Commission meeting in an amount of $2,240,459.00 via Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2019-037, to include a ten percent (10%) contingency in the amount of $224,000.00 to address any unforeseen conditions.

Body

On October 1, 2019, the Procurement Division of the Finance Department formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB 2019-037 Cocoplum 1 Sanitary Pump Station & Force Main Upgrade project solicitation which consists of an upgrade to an existing pump station, removal and replacement of an existing wet well, and installation of a force main.

 

At the January 28, 2020 Commission meeting, the contract for the project was awarded to David Mancini & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $2,240,4459.00 which was determined to be the lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project.

 

On April 1, 2020, the Public Works Department issued the Notice to Proceed instructing David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to begin work on the project and requiring substantial completion by October 28, 2020 and final completion by November 27, 2020.  

 

The Public Works Department respectfully requests authorization for an increase to Purchase Order 018293 for the Cocoplum 1 Sanitary Pump Station & Force Main Upgrade project to include a ten percent (10%) contingency in the amount of $224,000.00 to address any unforeseen conditions, for a new not to exceed amount of $2,464,459.00.
