Title

A Resolution authorizing a change order to the Elevator, Escalator and Moving Walks with Related Equipment, Services, Accessories and Supply contract 100516-TKE with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation, pursuant to Section 2-764(b), Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications, in the amount of $337,061 for repairs to Garage 6 elevators.

Body

On May 24, 2018, the City entered into a piggyback agreement pursuant to Procurement Code 2-945 for elevator services with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation.  The contract allows for the comprehensive solutions to elevator, escalator and moving walk needs with providing for installation, maintenance and repair services.

Since execution of this agreement, ThyssenKrupp has performed multiple repairs or equipment replacements for various elevators located throughout the City.  Currently, the two existing elevators at Garage 6 are in need of repairs that consist of refurbishment, new mechanical equipment and renovations of the two cabs.

Due to the on-going need for elevator services, Public Works would like to amend the annual contract amount in order to expedite repairs to Garage No. 6 elevators and request additional spending authority through the remaining term of the agreement in an amount not to exceed the available budget.
