Title

A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with WPS USA CORP to provide server software and hardware upgrades for the Parking and Revenue Control Equipment in the City’s four public parking garages.

Body

The City purchased and installed a new parking and revenue control system (PARCs) in the City’s four public parking Garages from 2014-2017 from WPS USA CORP. The PARCs system is used to manage traffic and more than 1,000,000 transactions annually in the City’s four public parking garages with annual revenue of nearly $4,000,000. The software and hardware server upgrades are required in order to comply with PCI and the City’s security requirements. The existing equipment is running software versions that will soon be non-compliant. Both software and hardware need to be upgraded to support the processing of credit card transactions using chip and pin. This software and hardware server upgrade has been reviewed by the Parking and I.T. Departments; it will be in the total amount of Ninety-Four Thousand One-Hundred and Ninety Dollars ($94,190.00), pursuant to Section 2-689 of the City’s Procurement Code.
