Congratulations to Maikel Lodeiro who holds the title of Sewer Line Technician II, recipient of the "Employee of the Month Award," for the month of January 2020.

“Maikel Lodeiro has numerous qualities as a City of Coral Gables Employee. He serves the City as a Sewer Line Technician and Sewer CCTV Technician. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge associated with the work he performs and oversees. Maikel is always willing to take on any task asked of him, and he makes himself available at any time day or night to attend to the needs of the City. During two recent sewer emergencies, Maikel played a key role in stopping sewer from spilling into the streets. In addition to the great work he does for the Utilities Department, he has also worked on various other tasks. These tasks include the spearheading of the effort to organize the thousands of pavers stored at the Public Works Equipment Yard, taking a lead role in the hurricane preparation cleanup and organization efforts at the Public Works Equipment Yard, and even assisting the “Coral Forest and Secret of the Seas” art installation in the Giralda Plasa earlier this year. The City of Coral Gables and the Utilities Department are the true beneficiaries of Maikel Lodeiro’s employment.”
