On November 13, 2019, Charlie Shift units were dispatched to a residential burglary that had just occurred at 200 Campina Ct. The Victim had just exited the shower, when he discovered an unknown burglar inside his home. The burglar was shirtless
and was in the process of consuming the Victim's food at the time of confrontation. The burglar initially refused to comply with the Victim's demands that he exit the home immediately - and at one point walked towards the Victim, causing the Victim
to retreat to his living room. Eventually the Offender took flight and the Victim contacted CGPD.
Lt. Hoff arrived in the area and was able to locate and detained a subject matching the description of the offender, which was previously broadcast via BOLO. Lt. Hoff orchestrated a show up which resulted in positive identification.
Lt. Hoff s exemplary observation skills were demonstrated herein. Although a Lieutenant, typically tasked with administrative functions, Lt. Hoff is always willing to engage with her team on the road in times of need - all to better serve the residents of
the City of Coral Gables.
