Since 2014, the Board of Directors of the Coral Gables Museum has consistently had a member of the Coral Gables City Commission serve as an ex-officio member of the board. This participation has proven beneficial to both institutions and there is a mutual desire to continue having an elected official serve in an ex-officio capacity. To that end, the City Commission wishes to appoint Mayor Raul Valdes-Fauli as an ex-officio member of the Coral Gables Museum Board of Directors for the remainder of a two-year term, which began on September 30, 2019.
