Body
On September 25, 2019, Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department executed an agreement with Insituform Technologies, LLC, for a Two-Year Countywide Contract for Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewers by the Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining Method. The agreement is effective for a period of two (2) years and may be renewed for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.

The Public Works Department has requested the use of the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC for Citywide repairs to the City’s sanitary sewer conveyance systems to reduce and/or eliminate groundwater infiltration and storm water inflow. Repairs to the City’s sanitary sewer system to reduce inflow and infiltration are required on an on-going basis to ensure compliance with Miami-Dade County Code, Section 24-42.2.

The determination has been made that Insituform Technologies, LLC, will best meet the needs of the City. The City follows Miami-Dade County Standards for sanitary sewer systems and piggybacking a Miami-Dade County contract and approved contractor will allow the City to continue to meet those standards. In addition, there are a limited number of contractors in the South Florida area that perform these services. Insituform has been effectively servicing the City of Coral Gables since the beginning of 2016.
