A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Trash and Recycling Receptacles contract to Anova Furnishings, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the initial amount of $235,660.00, pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2019-033 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful contractor to provide trash and recycling receptacles for City-wide use in public places.
On August 5, 2019, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB for the purchase of Trash and Recycling Receptacles. Fifty-one (51) prospective bidders downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.
On September 11, 2019, three (3) bids were received in response to the IFB 2019-033 from: Anova Furnishings, inc.; Landscape Forms, Inc.; and Victor Stanley, Inc.
The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be Anova Furnishings, Inc. in the initial amount of $235,660.00. The Public Works Department and the Procurement Officer recommend awarding the Trash and Recycling Receptacles contract to Anova Furnishings, Inc.
Additionally, the department is requesting approval to purchase additional units based on the available budget for a period of one (1) year from the execution of an agreement.
