Acknowledgment of new Board members
Two new Board members Ms. Vanessa Liebl and Ms. Philippa Milne were introduced and welcomed.
CILSF - Ms. Paola Villanueva - Services Provided
Ms. Villanueva addressed Board regarding various programs offered by CILSF and advised of upcoming training such as Money Management
which could be made available in groups of 7 or more.
Affordable Housing - Ms. Philippa Milne
Ms. Milne updated the Board on the progress of ongoing project in conjunction with ROOF (Residential Offering of Florida) regarding affordable
housing for individuals with disabilities.
Casa Familia Accomplishment -Ms. Marie Whitehurst
Ms. Whitehurst informed Board Casa Familia was recently awarded by Florida Housing Finance Corporation nineteen million dollars to be utilized
towards building affordable residential community for persons with disabilities.
Inviting Guest Speakers - Ms. Mary Palacio-Pike
Ms. Palacio-Pike addressed Board regarding Florida Attorney living with Autism which would be great to invite to attend future meetings.
Adventure Day for All Event
Ms. Elejabarrieta advised event will be October 12, 2019. Current list of resources distributed, and Board asked to review as well as add further
information if available.
Business Award Program - Ms. Ericka Kofkin
Ms. Kofkin advised Board application has been updated and should be completed by Friday, June 14, 2019.
Supper Club - Ms. Debbie Dietz - Ms. Dietz updated Board regarding Supper Club.
Social Club - Ms. Bonnie Blaire - Ms. Blaire updated Board regarding Social Club.
Parks & Recreations - Ms. Jennifer Denk
Ms. Denk stated she is a music therapist for the upcoming summer program and ideas regarding program.
