City of Coral Gables Fire Department Presentation of Services & Capabilities
Fire Chief De La Rosa along with Lieutenants Amador and Roig conducted a power point presentation illustrating the various services and capabilities the Fire Department can utilize
when assisting community members with disabilities. (Exhibit 1)
Opening in Board
Mr. Sando advised Board that if they had anyone who was interested in being considered for one of the open positions, they should contact the corresponding commissioner as
soon as possible.
Business Award Program
Ms. Elejabarrieta advised that an updated application would be emailed to each Board member for their review and input. (Exhibit 2- Updated Application)
Parks & Recreation Master Plan
Ms. Vester explained to Board preparation and process being conducted regarding formulation of Parks & Recreation Master Plan. Ms. Vester advised of upcoming public
meetings which are being advertised via various forms of media and their importance to facilitate the creation of a realistic achievable master plan. (Exhibit 3 - Community

Adventure Day for All Event:
Ms. Vester advised October 12, 2019 was designated as the date for the upcoming Adventure Day for All event. Board expressed interest in exploring the possibility of
pushing back event date to first week in November. Ms. Vester stated she would conduct review of calendar and advise Board if it would be possible.
Gables Living - An Exclusive Magazine serving Residents of Coral Gables
Ms. Whitehurst requested that a copy of the April 2019 edition of Gables Living featuring her and her family be placed into the record. (Exhibit 5 - Gables Living April 2019 Edition)
Public Housing Project
Ms. Phillipa (Pippa) Milne provided update regarding housing project for individuals with disabilities that she is currently working on and will continue to keep Board updated about this project.
