Title

A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Fountain Maintenance Citywide to Oliver’s Pools, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the estimated annual amount of $55,200.00, pursuant to Invitation for Bids IFB 2019-001 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.

Body

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful contractor to provide weekly maintenance and repair services for forty-two (42) water fountains throughout the City. 

 

On January 8, 2019, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB for the Fountain Maintenance Citywide. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on January 15, 2019, with four (4) prospective bidders in attendance of the six (6) prospective bidders who downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.

 

On February 5, 2019, five (5) bids were received in response to the IFB 2019-001 from: Bellas Construction Holdings, Inc.; BRS Pool Spa & Fountain Inc.; Gables Pool & Spa Inc.; Miami Pool Tech; and Oliver’s Pools, Inc.

 

The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be Oliver’s Pools, Inc., with an estimated annual amount of $55,200.00, not to exceed available budget. The Public Works Department and the Procurement Officer recommend awarding the Fountain Maintenance Citywide to Oliver’s Pools, Inc.
