A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the HVAC Services to Weathertrol Maintenance Corp., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the estimated annual amount of $231,540.00, pursuant to Invitation for Bids IFB 2018-015 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful contractor to provide maintenance services, repairs, and new installation of HVAC systems.
On September 11, 2018, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB for the HVAC Services. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on September 18, 2018, with five (5) prospective bidders in attendance of the twenty six (26) prospective bidders who downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.
On October 9, 2018, two (2) bids were received in response to the IFB 2018-015 from: Cool-Breeze Air Conditioning Corp.; and Weathertrol Maintenance Corp.
The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be Weathertrol Maintenance Corp., Inc. with an estimated annual amount of $231,540.00. The Public Works Department and the Procurement Officer recommend awarding the HVAC Services contract to Weathertrol Maintenance Corp.
