A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Grounds Maintenance Services - Golf Course, Parks and Open spaces for Parks and Recreation contract to Greens Grade Services, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in an estimated annual amount of $424,676.00 per year, for an initial period of three (3) years with two (2) one (1) year options to renew, pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2018-010 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award.”

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful bidder to provide all labor and supervision to perform maintenance, general landscaping and specific labor related to golf course, ball field operations duties and parks. The services will include, but not be limited to mowing, pesticide treatments, irrigation repairs and maintenance for Granada Golf Course, Coral Gables Youth Center and Phillips Parks athletic fields.
On April 19, 2018, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB for Grounds Maintenance Services - Golf Course, Parks and Open spaces for Parks and Recreation Department. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on April 27, 2018, with three (3) prospective bidders in attendance of the twenty two (22) prospective bidders who downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.
On May 22, 2018, three (3) bids were received in response to IFB 2018-010 from: Cypress Golf Management, LLC. dba Cypress Golf Course Services, Greens Grade Services, Inc., and OrchidMan Landscape Artisans, Corporation.
The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be Greens Grade Services, Inc., with an estimated annual amount of $ 424,676.00 per year, based on quantities provided by the user department. Quantities on this contract will be based on unit price, department needs and subject to available funds. The Parks and Recreation Department and the Procurement Officer recommend awarding the Grounds Maintenance Services - Golf Course, Parks and Open spaces to Greens Grade Services, Inc.
