Congratulations to Catherine Cathers, who holds the title Arts and Culture Specialist, recipient of the "Employee of the Month Award," for the month of January, 2018.

The nomination was submitted Bernice Y. Roth who stated the following:
“I have known Catherine Cathers since she joined the City of Coral Gables nine years ago. I am a volunteer for the City, serving on the Cultural Development Advisory Board. Catherine is always responsive and responsible when interacting with me, with the committee, and with cultural grantees. She exemplifies the high standards of the City. All of her responses to me and other committee members are carefully researched.
She shows initiative and is clearly self-motivated. This year, she singlehanded coordinated the grant review meeting, making sure we had all the necessary tools (i.e. venue, computer persons, and even coffee) that we needed to have a successful and productive meeting. This meeting is a long annual meeting where we score grant applicants and recommend funding to the commission-so it is one of our most important meetings. I am proud to know her and know that she works for our City.”
