SPECIAL CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS:

CASE FILE COA (SP) 2017-018: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate of Appropriateness for the property at 438 Alcazar Avenue, a local historic landmark and contributing resource within the “Alcazar Avenue

Historic District,” legally described as Lot 3 and East 40 feet of Lot 2, Block 5, Coral Gables Section “B,” as recorded in Plat Book 5, Page 111, of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida.  The application requests

design approval for the construction of an addition to the residence.

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the Special Certificate of Appropriateness for 438 Alcazar Avenue with Staff recommendations. (Ayes: 9, Nays: 0)

 

CASE FILE COA (SP) 2017-001 Revised: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate of Appropriateness for the property at 4125 Santa Maria Street, contributing resource within the “Santa Maria Street Historic District,” legally described as Lots

& 10, Block 96, Coral Gables Country Club Section Part Five, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 23, Page 55, of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The application requesting design approval for additions and alterations to

the residence and sitework was granted approval with conditions on February 16, 2017. The revision requests design approval for changes to the proposed elevations.

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the Special Certificate of Appropriateness for 4125 Santa Maria Street. (Ayes: 9, Nays: 0)

 

ITEMS FROM THE SECRETARY:

    Historic Preservation Board Workshop: Ms. Spain informed the Board that they would be contacted with dates for a workshop on Historic Preservation. The date will be sometime in November.
