On May 5, 2015, Miami-Dade County adopted Resolution No. R-416-15, authorizing the execution of an agreement between Insituform Technologies, LLC and Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department, for a Two-Year Countywide Contract for Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer by the Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining Method.  The agreement executed on May 6, 2015 is effective for a period of two (2) years, and may be renewed for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. 

The Public Works Department has requested the use of the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC for Citywide repairs to the City’s sanitary sewer conveyance systems to reduce and/or eliminate groundwater infiltration and storm water inflow.  Repairs to the City’s sanitary sewer system to reduce inflow and infiltration are required on an on-going basis to ensure compliance with Miami-Dade County Code, Section 24-42 2.  The piggyback services are only for the rehabilitation of the lining portion of the City’s sanitary sewer systems.

The determination has been made that Insituform Technologies, LLC, will best meet the needs of the City.  The City follows Miami-Dade County Standards for sanitary sewer systems and piggybacking a Miami-Dade County contract and approved contractor will allow the City to continue to meet those standards.  In addition, there are a limited number of contractors in ...
