Body

Section 101-182 of the City Code outlines the duties and responsibilities of the hearing officers and special masters that preside over red light camera hearings and code enforcement ticket hearings. Hearing officers and special masters are attorneys who are members in good-standing with the Florida Bar, who reside or maintain a business establishment for a minimum of five years within the City of Coral Gables, and who possess an outstanding reputation for civic pride, integrity, fairness, objectivity, responsibility, and the appropriate legal experience or background.

The individuals being appointed pursuant to this resolution exemplify the qualities outlined in Section 101-182; they are incumbents Ian Martinez, Oliver Langstadt, Michael Hacker, and new appointments Ana M. Gonzalez-Fajardo, Myra Perez Damera and Stuart Grossman.

Hearing officers and special masters shall serve a two-year term, with appointments occurring on July 1^st of each year.
