A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Coral Gables, Florida, adopting an Oath of Office for all elected and appointed officials to include a Civility Oath.

Although the City Code provides for an oath of office to be taken by all elected and appointed officials of the City, no specific language has been adopted for said purpose. This resolution adopts general language for the oath of office and also includes a civility oath. In January 2017, the Miami-Dade Ethics Commission passed a resolution recommending the adoption of a civility oath by the County and every municipality. Therefore, the civility oath has been included in the language.
