A Resolution accepting a grant for financial assistance in the amount of $200,000.00 from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the Miracle Mile and Giralda Avenue Drainage Project, and to authorize an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget, to recognize the $200,000.00 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to put toward the cost of the project.

Body

The Coral Gables Miracle Mile and Giralda Avenue Drainage project is a component of the larger Coral Gables Streetscape project. This project is a key driver in the economic rebirth of the Miracle Mile area and will enhance the downtown area for residents and visitors to the City.

 

Grant funds for this project will be utilized for the necessary improvements of the drainage system, along Miracle Mile, from LeJeune Road to Douglas Road and also the 100 Block of Giralda Avenue.

                     

An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget is required to recognize the $200,000.00 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to put toward the cost of the project.
