A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to extend the HR Medical Services contract with Richard L. Dolsey PHC, Inc., d/b/a Physicians Health Center, pursuant to Section 2-829 of the Procurement Code entitled “approval of change orders and contract modifications”, on a month-to-month basis, to provide time for the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to be completed and a new contract be negotiated and executed.

On October 26, 2010, the City Commission approved a contract for HR Medical Services as the result of a Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
The purpose of the contract is to provide pre-employment physical examinations, annual physical examinations, drug testing, on the job injuries, fitness to duty, return to work physical examination and other contractual obligations. The current contract with Richard L. Dolsey PHC, Inc., d/b/a Physicians Health Center expires on February 2, 2017.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, the Procurement Division formally advertised and published RFP 2016.11.YG-3 entitled Occupational Health Services. However, in order to allow time for the RFP process to be completed and a new contract be negotiated and executed, it is recommended that the HR Medical Services contract be extended on a month-to-month basis.
Under Section 2-829 of the Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications,” the current contract with Richard L. Dolsey PHC, Inc., d/b/a Physicians Health Center may be extended by the City Commission.
