Title

A Resolution authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with Urgent Response Training Institute to allow for EMT/Paramedic students to complete their clinical requirements through the Coral Gables Fire Department "Ride-A-Long Program."

Body

The Fire Department has been mentoring EMT/Paramedic students by allowing them to “ride along” on their rescue units for over twenty five years.  Through the Coral Gables Fire Department ride-a-long program the participants gain actual experience by observing firefighters engage in their daily activities.

The Fire Department has been using this standardized contract for approximately 12 years.  There is no cost to the City for this program.
