Bike Walk Coral Gables (BWCG) has generously donated a Bike Fix Station to the City. The mission of BWCG is to promote a safe and friendly environment and the accessibility of streets and trails for cyclists and pedestrians to enjoy Coral Gables’ beauty and lush canopy.
A Bike Fix Station operates as a self-service kiosk and includes all the tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. The tools and air pump are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. This donation of bicycling infrastructure will be the second in the City and help Coral Gables become a more bicycle friendly community.
The Station will be installed by City Staff at the southeast corner of Salzedo Street and Giralda Avenue, with support of the Coral Gables Museum.
