A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to authorize a “piggyback” contract from City of Miami with Awning Brokers A.B., Inc., in the amount of $31,777, for City Hall Conference Room Renovations, pursuant to Section 2-978, of the Procurement Code entitled, “Use of Other Governmental Unit Contracts (Piggybacks).”

Body

On December 10, 2009, City of Miami awarded Contract No. 184144 to a pre-qualified list of vendors, including Awning Brokers A.B., Inc., to perform general building/engineering and specialty trade services citywide, on an as needed project basis, effective through December 20, 2016.   The City of Miami contract may be piggybacked by the City of Coral Gables under Section 2-978 of the Procurement Code entitled” Use of Other Governmental Unit contracts (Piggyback),” as the contract is still active and was solicited under a sealed bid process.

 

The Public Works Department has requested the use of the City of Miami contract to make renovations to the City Hall Conference Room. The Public Works Department has provided the scope-of-work to the contactor, Awning Brokers A.B., Inc., for City Hall Conference Room Renovations.  The total cost of the project is $31,777.

 

The Public Works Department concurs with recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to “Piggyback” the contract from City of Miami for the City Hall Conference Room Renovations project.
