The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, Inc. (Grantee) applied for and received FY2014-2015 Cultural Grant funds in the amount of $2,500.
The Grantee did not fulfill in a timely and proper manner its obligations under the Agreement. The Grantee requested an extension from the Cultural Development Board, which was given and not satisfied.
After careful consideration, the Cultural Development Board made a motion to recommend that the City facilitates return of FY2014-2015 cultural grant funds from the Cuban Classical Ballet in the amount of $2,500.

Cuban Classical Ballet requests an extension to the grant conditions due to an inability to reach an agreement with the performance venue. New performance dates are proposed for October 16, 17, or 18, 2015 at the Biltmore Hotel.

The Cultural Development Board meets and approves the request with an extension to complete programming by October 31, 2015.

Cuban Classical Ballet advises that a presentation by the Cuban Classical Ballet will take place at the Biltmore Hotel.

City staff requests an update to report to the Cultural Development Board.
February 02, 2016
Cultural Development Board meets and is advised that staff has not received an update from the organization and is unaware if the organization has met the extension.
March 09, 2016
Cuban Classical Ballet advises staff that they will attend the April 5 meeting and are able to perform at the Coral Gables Museum June 2 or June 6.

City staff receives an email that they are unable to attend the April 05 meeting due to illness and will perform at the Coral Gables Congregation Church on May 17 and October 20.
