Title

Body
The Fire Station # 3 Door Replacements project consists of removing the existing overhead doors and their motorized operators and installation of new Four-Fold doors with motorized operators in Fire Station # 3. The work includes, but is not limited to: the material and labor for the new door assemblies, required supports, removal and relocation of any existing items in conflict with installation of new doors, cutting and patching, electrical, and cleaning.

On March 17, 2016, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed the Fire Station # 3 Door Replacements, IFB 2016.03YG-2. On March 22, 2016, a non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit was held with ten (10) prospective bidders in attendance of the twenty four (24) prospective bidders who obtained the IFB package from the Procurement Division. On April 7, 2016, five (5) bids were received in response to the Fire Station # 3 Door Replacements, IFB 2016.03YG-2 from: SK Quality Contractor, Inc., Blasco Construction Corp., Builcare, Inc., GEC Associates, Inc., and LEGO Construction, Inc.

The lowest responsive responsible bid for the Fire Station # 3 Door Replacements project was determined to be SK Quality Contractor, Inc., with a total bid of $313,020.00. The Public Works Department and the City’s Consultant firm for the project, Ferguson Glasgow Schuster Soto, Inc., concur with the recommendation to award SK Quality ...
