Congratulations to Belkys Perez, Events and Marketing Specialist, recipient of the "Employee of the Month Award," for the month of April, 2016.

The nomination was submitted by Javier Betancourt, from the Economic Development Department, which provided the following:
“I am nominating Belkys Perez for Employee of the Month for her tireless promotion of the City Beautiful. Belkys exhibits all of the qualities that I look for in a person. Intelligence, creativity, teamwork, integrity, a positive "can-do" attitude, a strong work ethic, and an unsurpassed dedication to public service and to the City of Coral Gables. She currently does the work of three people without ever complaining about having to take on additional responsibilities beyond her job description. In just the past few months, Belkys has organized multiple successful City events, including the Boards & Committees Appreciation Reception, the U.M./City of Coral Gables Annual Meeting & Reception, Jazz in the Gables, Gallery Night, the Post- Retirement Entrepreneurship Workshop, the Restaurant Recognition event at City Commission, and the Fink Studio Community Open House, while also producing various pieces of City collateral and coordinating the interior design of our new office space. I cannot imagine what our department, or the City, would do without her. For these and many more reasons, I am proud and privileged to nominate Belkys Perez for Employee of the Month.”
