Review and discussion on planning study options for Kerdyk Tennis Center Pro-Shop facility.

On December 16th 2014, Commission approved moving forward with renovations of the Kerdyk Tennis Center facility to renovate the courts, fencing, lighting, practice wall, plaza and other appurtenances. Staff is pleased to report that this project has recently been completed and the facility has been re-opened to the public. As expected and planned, the programming for this project resulted in an project savings and the Commission directed that this savings be utilized for a phase 2 project which would include an assessment, and renovation of the existing outdated and functionally obsolete pro-shop facility. (Currently, there is approximately one million dollars of budget authority remaining for this phase of the project.)
Staff procured the services of Stantec Consulting Engineers to proceed with the assessment of the pro-shop facility and to recommend options for moving forward. The first phase of this assessment has been completed and staff along with representatives from Stantec will be at the February 23rd meeting to present and discuss options and to seek Commission direction.
