Firefighter Jader Tobon has been selected February’s Firefighter of the Month for his excellence in conduct, such as, responsibility, dependability, and positive attitude. Firefighter Tobon has 7 & 1/2 years of outstanding service with the Coral Gables Fire Department and his professionalism is evident in every aspect of his job. Firefighter Tobon has taken advantage of every training opportunity possible to be the best firefighter he can possibly be and has become a valuable asset to our department.
In addition to performing his regular duties as Firefighter / Paramedic, FF Tobon goes the extra mile serving on the department’s Extrication Team that recently competed at the 2015 National Traffic Incident Extrication Challenge winning several awards. Firefighter Tobon has a strong passion for the fire department but an even stronger passion for his family as a dedicated husband and father to a baby boy. He is the kind of exemplary employee we look for in our new hires and we are happy to recognize his efforts as Firefighter of the Month.
