Congratulations to Lt. Christian Garcia, recipient of the City of Coral Gables “Firefighter of the Year Award,” for 2015.

Lt. Christian Garcia was selected as the “2015 Firefighter of the Year” for his outstanding display of individual initiative and meritorious display of job performance, specifically his efforts in developing the curriculum for a Forcible Entry program. Lt. Garcia’s command of the subject matter, hands-on approach, and stamina in delivering a high volume of material in a limited amount of time, is to be commended. The Fire Department is very fortunate to have someone with Lt. Garcia’s skill level teaching this type of class which calls for a very large amount of preparation time and knowledge.
