A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to authorize contract negotiations with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., as the professional services consultant to conduct a comprehensive fifteen year Community Recreation Master Plan, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act,” and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2015.09.24.
Body
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to select a qualified professional services consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive fifteen year (focusing on increments of five years) Community Recreation Master Plan for the City that provides an optimal delivery system for park and recreation services and defines present and future recreation needs for the community, consistent with the socio-economic, psycho-demographics, and development trends within the City. The Master Plan should provide recommendations for provision of facilities, programs and services; park land acquisition and development, maintenance and operations; as well as administration and management.
On October 15, 2015, three (3) qualifications statements were submitted in response to the RFQ by the following: AECOM Technical Services, Inc., GreenPlay, LLC and Sand County Studios.
On October 22, 2015, the Evaluation Committee convened to evaluate the qualification statements, to hear presentations and to conduct interviews of the firms that submitted qualification statements. After the presentations and interviews, the Evaluation Committee scored and ranked the firms based on the criteria outlined in the RFQ. The Committee unanimously ranked AECOM Technical Services, Inc., as the top-ranked firm, GreenPlay, LLC as the second-ranked firm and Sand County Studios as the third-ranked firm.
