Firefighter Jaime Haro has been selected July’s Firefighter of the Month for his acts of concern and consideration when dealing with the public, specifically by standing behind our Department motto - “Committed to Our Community.” Prior to joining the Fire Department, FF Haro served in the United States Marine Corps and we are proud of his service. In 1993 FF Haro joined our department and became a Driver Engineer. Firefighter Haro is extremely talented behind the wheel of the engine and has an unblemished record as a driver.
Besides being a model employee his entire career, Firefighter Haro is committed to our community and has volunteered for community events the department has participated in like “Amigos for Kids Annual Back to School Drive” where hundreds of book bags and school supplies are distributed to deserving children just before the beginning of the school year.
Just recently he was out playing tennis when he heard a woman yelling for help. He went over to assist the lady and found that she had fallen due to a possible ankle fracture. Without hesitation, he rendered aid by splinting her ankle, applying ice and then helping the woman to a friend’s car for transport to the hospital. Firefighter Haro should be recognized for his commitment to the community and the well-being of others. He is the kind of example employee we look for in our new hires and we are happy to recognize his efforts as Firefighter of the Month
