Title
A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Citywide Tree Succession Project contract to SFM Services, Inc., pursuant to Request for Proposals (RFP) 2015.01.02, and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled, "Contract Award".
 
Body
This project involves the installation and maintenance of approximately 2,930 trees and 16 palms, the relocation of approximately 518 coconut palms, the removal of approximately 539 diseased/declining trees, palms and stumps, as well as the maintenance and watering of the trees and palms for a period of twelve (12) months after substantial completion of the project
 
On January 2, 2015, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed the Citywide Tree Succession Project RFP 2015.01.02.  On January 15, 2015, a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference was held with three (3) prospective proposers in attendance of the seven (7) proposers who obtained the RFP package from the Procurement Division.   
 
On February 2, 2015, four (4) proposals were received in response to RFP 2015.01.02 from Arazoza HEC Landscape JV, LLC, Mix'd Greens, Inc., SFM Services, Inc. and Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc.   
 
On February 12, 2015, the Evaluation Committee convened to evaluate the four (4) responsive proposals and on February 17, 2015 met again to conduct interviews and determined that SFM Services, Inc., is the most responsive and responsible proposer.  It is the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee to award the Citywide Tree Succession Project to SFM Services, Inc., in the amount of $2,856,986.80.  
 
The City's project consultant, Curtis + Rogers Design and the Public Works Department concur with the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee to award the Citywide Tree Succession Project to SFM Services, Inc.
