Body
During the year 2014, Sergeant Merino was recognized on three occasions for her outstanding work. In February, she received the Life Saving Award for assisting a choking victim where this person's life was extended for a period of time. Secondly, Sergeant Merino was nominated for Officer of the Month in May 2014 for her assistance of obtaining information that led to the subsequent arrest of a bank robbery subject.  Thirdly, Sergeant Merino received the Officer of the Month Award in November 2014 for her proactive patrol efforts that resulted in the arrest of three subjects for Loitering and Prowling and Possession of Counterfeit Goods.
