Congratulations to Maria Elizabeth Gomez, Public Works Department, Parking Division, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Employee of the Month Award, for the month of August 2014.

The nomination was submitted by Kevin Kinney, Public Works Department/Parking Division, which provided the following:
"Elizabeth serves as the Trolley Operations Supervisor helping to manage drivers and a fleet that transports approximately 1,200,000 passengers a year. She has become an invaluable member of the Parking Division and frequently takes on additional responsibilities to support parking and trolley operations. Most recently, she stepped in to take care of all purchasing and procurement for Parking, Parking Enforcement, Trolleys and the Sign Shop when we were without a Parking Administrative Supervisor for several months. She has also proven herself capable of managing the Trolley Fleet and Contractors when the Trolley Manager is unavailable.
Elizabeth exemplifies those employees who will do what is needed to support the trolley/parking operation in delivering great service to our customers and resident. For her many years of helping to make the Coral Gables Trolley an exemplary operation, Elizabeth deserves recognition as the Employee of the Month."
