Brief History
Satchmo Blues Bar and Grill, Inc. requests approval to serve alcoholic beverages during the celebration of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Coral Gables.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup celebration will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014, through Sunday, July 13, 2014. All viewing events are scheduled to end by 8:00 p.m.
The applicant has also requested the closure of Merrick Park for a larger gathering on Sunday, July 13, 2014 if Germany advances to the World Cup Final Game.
This request is in compliance with the laws of the State of Florida and has been reviewed by the City’s Special Events Committee.
