Congratulations to Christine Matteucci, Community Services Department, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Employee of the Month Award, for the month of April 2014.

The nomination was submitted by Fred Couceyro, Community Services Department, which provided the following:
"Chris Matteucci has served as an Assistant Youth Center Supervisor since May 2011. In that time, she has demonstrated that she will go above and beyond to make sure that the operations of the Youth Center run smoothly. It is not uncommon to see Chris at the Youth Center. She will work tirelessly to get the job done, and even if this requires her to work more hours or to come in extra days, she will do it. Her enthusiasm for her job is instantly noticeable and has proven to be infectious with her employees as she has been able to work with them to form a cohesive team.
With the departure of the former Youth Center Supervisor in November, Chris stepped in as the Interim Supervisor, and continued to exhibit the values and work ethic that marked her tenure as the Assistant Supervisor. As the recently promoted Youth Center Supervisor, she does not show any signs of slowing down. There is no doubt that she will be a shining star in her new position as well."
