Resolution authorizing the acceptance and execution of a $10,000 grant from the 2014 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program; and authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Annual Budget to recognize the grant as revenue, and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.

The Coral Gables Police Department will use this grant to purchase Night Vision Optics to be used in the field. The 2014 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $10,000 has been applied for and awarded to the City to cover the cost of the Night Vision Optics.
An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $10,000 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the grant expenditures.
