Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Bella Vista Seawall contract to Shoreline Foundation, Inc., pursuant to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2014.01.06 and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled "Contract Award."

The Bella Vista Seawall Project consists of the construction of a concrete seawall, which serves to stabilize the shoreline at Bella Vista Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida and includes but, is not limited to the installation of piles, concrete panels, seawall cap and a Grace Inhibitor.
On January 6, 2014, the Procurement Division formally advertised, issued and distributed the Bella Vista Seawall Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2014.01.06.
On January 13, 2014, a non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held with six (6) prospective bidders attending out of a total of sixteen (16) prospective bidders who obtained the bid package from the Procurement Division.
On January 22, 2014, four responsive (4) bids were submitted by: DMSI, Cobalt Construction Group, Anzac Contractors, Inc., and Shoreline Foundation, Inc. The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Shoreline Foundation, Inc., in the amount of $150,488.
The Consulting Engineering for the project, ADA Engineering, and the Public Works Department concur with the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award Shoreline Foundation, Inc., the Bella Vista Seawall Project.
