Firefighter William Newman was selected as February's Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically by being extraordinarily helpful in the area of station assignments, completing training records for department personnel, and entering EMS reports into the system. These are all skills and requirements needed to be a successful firefighter. Firefighter Newman's enthusiasm for learning and mastering all aspects of the fire service is inspiring and his willingness to go the extra mile to assist the department is worthy of this award.
