Congratulations to Sally Ola Ola, Assistant Finance Director for Financial Reporting and Operations, who has been awarded the "2016-2017 Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) of the Year Award," by the Florida Government Financial Officers Association (FGFOA).

Body

The Florida Government Finance Officer (CGFO) Program is intended to encourage a level of knowledge and professionalism in the field of government finance and encourage development and maintenance of professional competence for practicing governmental finance officers. 

 

The CGFO certification is earned by passing a five-part exam covering accounting and financial reporting, municipal budgeting, treasure management, debt administration and financial administration.  Sally achieved the distinction of CGFO of the Year by passing all five parts with the highest average score of everyone who took the test this past year.
