Firefighter Daniel Mosqueira has been selected as the “2025 Firefighter of the Year” for his meritorious display of job performance, specifically, for his actions going above and beyond for the Fire Department and the City of Coral Gables as a whole.
His actions while off duty, encountering an unresponsive individual behind the wheel of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road without hesitation, and intervening alongside another off-duty firefighter, and a South Miami police offer to initiate CPR was nothing short of outstanding. Your teamwork and immediate response continued until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and transported the patient to the emergency room shows your dedication and love of your profession.
We thank Firefighter Mosqueira for representing the Coral Gables Fire Department and the City of Coral Gables so admirably and for making us proud.
