Congratulations to Norma Gavarrete, Parks & Recreation Department, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Employee of the Month Award, for the month of March 2011.

The nomination was submitted by Cindy Dorrel, Economic Sustainability Department, which provided the following:
"Norma has been with the City for many years and in that time has shown that she will do anything that needs to be done to get the job done. I have worked with her on tons of events and she has always been right there with me, getting the job done, no matter what it takes. She is a dedicated employee who has never been nominated for Employee of the Month and I think it is time that she be noticed for the incredible work she has preformed. She is able to handle multiple tasks/events at one time and is very focused and keeps track of what needs to be done for each one. If a problem arises, she handles it immediately. The City needs more people like Norma. Without a doubt, I believe Norma Gavarrete deserves to be an Employee of the Month. "
